Update: Apply-As-You-Go Credit System

Quick update on our unique Apply-As-You-Go credit based classifieds service. Weather you are using the starter credits provided upon sign-up, or credits purchased from the store – we are offering a lot of flexibiltility on how you choose to use, or apply, the credits you have.

We understand that all classified ads are unique and have varying levels of complexity. Some items you may be selling are pretty straight forward – and perhaps only need a paragraph of text and a photo. Other items can be far more complex – such as listing a house or a car. In this case, you may want to add a walk-around tour video, many photos, a map and perhaps a web link back to real estate agent, or auto dealer website.

In each of the above cases, we believe you should only have to pay for what you use. Thus, our Apply-As-You-Go credit based system. You are free to apply your credits in order to optimize your listings as you see the need.

    Our Simple Apply-As-You-Go Credit Structure:

  • Ad Submission: 1 Credit
  • Video: 2 Credits
  • Google Map: 1 Credit
  • Photos: 1 Credit Per Photo (i.e. 3 Photos = 3 Credits)

In the end, the more bells and whistles you add to your classified listing, the more credits it will require. Keep in mind, it is pretty reasonable even when you have added all the goodies!

Now, you may be asking why DooShare even charges credits to post classified ads – when there are so many free classified options out there.

Simple. Quality is a top priority for us here at DooShare.

We sincerely believe that having to purchase either credits and a subscription to post classified ads will greatly improve the overall quality of posts.

We hope that the fee required to purchase credits or a subscription will weed out the low-value ‘junk’ posts.

This will, in turn, improve the overall quality of the user experience.

We want our users – posters and seekers – to be successful. Your success is our success.

Update: Video Tutorial Series

In an effort to make the use and navigation of the DooShare site easier for our users we have begun to roll out a video tutorial series.

Each video will focus on a specific feature that is available on the site. A ‘How to’ of sorts.

Our first video is ‘How to Upload a Video’ and can be seen here:

We also have plans to enhance our FAQ with video. Most useful we think.

Update: Cleaner Experience

Some of you may have noticed that we made a variety of updates to the site which impacted the overall site appearance. Our goal was create a clean and fresh user experience. Just about every page on the site was impacted by the updates.

Most notably, on the homepage we brought up the ‘Most Recently Viewed’, ‘Featured’, ‘Top Rated’ and ‘Most Viewed’ videos. We know you are here to enjoy a video or two – so lets give you what you want.

We also widened the site considerably. This allowed us to increase the size of the video player. So now you can soak in and enjoy your videos that much more. Of course, you can always go full screen if you prefer. Either way, we hope you enjoy the wide screen viewing experience. This was an important improvement for our users.

Beyond that, there were countless updates all in an effort to provide you a great experience. So Enjoy!

Update: DooShare Video Classifieds

We are getting close to launching DooShare Video Classifieds. The team has been working very hard over the last several months to bring a ‘best-in-class’ classifieds service to market.

Once ready, we intend to fully integrate DooShare Video Classifieds into the site – and will provide a seamless experience.
